Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has left Dhaka for the United States on an official visit, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release today (29 March).
According to the ISPR, the army chief departed for the US yesterday (28 March).
During the visit, he is expected to accept a recognition initiative by the Georgia State Capitol honouring the commendable contributions of Bangladeshi peacekeepers in United Nations peacekeeping missions. He will also attend a special lecture at the Senate chamber.
The army chief is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with relevant US representatives.
