Police arrested listed snatcher Rubel, known as “Pankha Rubel”, during a raid in Dhaka’s Adabar area this morning (8 May).
The arrest was made around 8:30am in the Shekhertek area under Adabar Police Station, said Officer-in-Charge Md Zahidul Islam.
He told TBS that Rubel is known as the second-in-command of the Mohammadpur-based juvenile gang “Rokto Chosha Jony Group”.
According to police, nine cases involving snatching, extortion and drug-related offences have been filed against him. He is also a wanted accused in two cases filed with Adabar Police Station.
