Indian Navy Ship INS SUNAYNA has arrived at Chattogram Port for a three-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh.
Official sources said, Bangladeshi Navy ship Ali Haider welcomed the visiting ship when it entered Bangladeshi waters.
Commander of Chattogram Naval Area Chief Staff Officer received the captain, officers, and sailors of the visiting ship upon its arrival at Chattogram Port.
The Navy’s band played traditional music to welcome the ship, and senior Navy officials, along with a representative from the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh were present.
During their stay in Bangladesh, a delegation, including the captain of the visiting ship and the Naval Advisor of the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh, will pay courtesy calls on various officials, such as Commander Chattogram Naval Area, Commander BN Fleet, Area Superintendent Dockyard, and Chairman of Chattogram Port Authority.
The officers and sailors of the visiting ship will also visit the training base and ships of the Bangladesh Navy, as well as important historical and tourist sites in Chattogram.
In return, officers and sailors of the Bangladesh Navy will visit the Indian ship. This goodwill visit aims to facilitate the exchange of professional experiences between the two navies and strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India.
The Indian Navy ship is scheduled to depart Bangladeshi waters on May 10, 2026.
