Lisa Kudrow did not hold herself back as she shared her blunt remarks on her hit sitcom Friends storyline.
The 62-year-old actress, who played the role of Phoebe Buffay in the infamous drama, recently caught up with Jimmy Fallon on his The Tonight Show on Monday night and talked about the Ross and Rachel’s break up played by David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, respectively.
As Ross and Rachel’s split has divided fans for years, Kudrow articulated her remarks on it noting, Ross is the representation of “a bad boyfriend” as, according to the plot line he cheated on Rachel while they were “on a break.”
Fallon asked, “What is your take? Were they on a break?”
While admitting that she was afraid to bring up the topic, she replied, “Well, no. But it’s beyond that. It’s beyond break or not. He was a bad boyfriend.”
To Kudrow’s surprise, the crowd on the show began applauding, seemingly agreeing on her take, she chimed in, “Oh, you agree! Oh, I feel better. Thank you. Thank you for this. Thank you, all of you.”
She then recalled, “We did the reunion just like five years ago… we were all so like, ‘They were on a break.’ Like, ‘Rachel, that hysterical shrew, not letting him sleep with someone and won’t get back together.'”
”She shouldn’t have gotten back with him because he was horrible,” Kudrow remarked.
”To me, it’s like, I don’t care if he slept with three other women or no other women. You had a crisis at work, so you weren’t available for a few nights, and he flipped out. And you’re like, ‘Wow!'”
Fallon then inquired if Kudrow’s fellow star, Schwimmer, knows her stance on his character, Ross. In response, she stayed silent.
The host then jokingly filled the silence by saying, “He knows now.”
Kudrow’s remarks came after she accused the male writer of the sitcom that they used to openly talk about their sexual fantasies about the female actors on the set.
