A joint operation by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police at a suspected drug den in Fatullah, Narayanganj, led to the recovery of a large quantity of narcotics, locally made weapons, and over Tk10 lakh in cash.
10 suspects were detained at the scene.
The drive began at around 9pm yesterday (5 April) and continued until approximately 11:45pm.
According to RAB, the drive was launched across different areas of Sadar upazila following an earlier attack in the Boalia Khal Lichubag area of the city.

Three individuals were hacked and injured during a RAB operation earlier in the afternoon.
As part of the ongoing drive, RAB, with assistance from local police, raided a six-storey and a two-storey building in the Deobhog Noor Mosque area of Fatullah at around 9pm.
Deputy Commander of RAB-11, Naeem ul Haque, said that the drug spot had long been operated by two brothers, Rasel and Rashed, along with their associate Raju and others, allegedly running a narcotics business from the location.
He added that the trio would procure drugs directly from Cox’s Bazar in Chattogram and store them in Narayanganj before distributing them to both retail and wholesale dealers.
“During the drive, we recovered approximately five maunds of cannabis, 10,000 to 12,000 yaba tablets, a money-counting machine, a drone, and a large number of locally made weapons, including machetes, cleavers, knives, Chinese axes, and iron pipes,” he said.
The detained individuals, along with the seized narcotics, weapons, and cash, have been handed over to the Fatullah Police Station.
Cases will be filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act and the Arms Act.
