Xiaomi has formally entered Bangladesh’s home appliance segment, unveiling a range of smart devices as part of its broader push to expand beyond smartphones and strengthen its ecosystem presence in the country.
The launch, held at a hotel in Dhaka today (4 May), marks the company’s first official introduction of home appliances in Bangladesh under its “smart living” strategy. The move comes as demand grows among urban consumers for connected devices and integrated home solutions.
Company officials said the expansion is aimed at tapping into Bangladesh’s evolving consumer market, where rising incomes and urbanisation are driving interest in smart and energy-efficient appliances.
As part of the rollout, Xiaomi introduced a front-load washer-dryer with a 10.5kg capacity. The appliance is designed to complete washing and drying within an hour, targeting time-constrained urban households.
The company also launched multiple television models, including its premium Mini LED series, featuring high brightness levels, faster refresh rates, and enhanced audio-visual technologies.
Alongside premium offerings, Xiaomi unveiled its A Pro Series 2026 TVs, equipped with 4K displays and integrated smart TV platforms.
Beyond major appliances, the company introduced a range of smaller smart devices, including air fryers, air purifiers, and indoor and outdoor security cameras, reflecting a broader attempt to build a connected home ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Xiaomi Bangladesh’s Country Manager Ziauddin Chowdhury said the company aims to move beyond standalone devices and offer integrated solutions that enhance daily life.
Bangladesh’s consumer electronics market has been expanding steadily in recent years, supported by a growing middle class and increased adoption of smart technologies. Analysts expect the smart home segment to gain further traction as connectivity improves and device prices become more competitive.
