Police have recovered the body of a foreign woman from a hospital in the capital’s Gulshan area and are investigating allegations that she was beaten to death.
The identity and nationality of the woman could not be immediately confirmed.
Gulshan Police Station recovered the body from Continental Hospital in Gulshan-2 today (28 April) after receiving information.
Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Gulshan Division M Tanveer Ahmed confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
“It is not yet confirmed that the woman was beaten to death. The police are looking into the matter. Details will be provided later,” he said.
