The government has transferred six officials of Bangladesh Police holding the rank of superintendent of police (SP) in a new administrative reshuffle.
The transfers were made through a notification issued today (21 April), signed by Toufique Ahmed, deputy secretary of the Police-1 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, following an order of the President.
According to the notification, Sherpur SP Md Kamrul Islam has been transferred as SP at the DIG office in Khulna Range, while Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner AKM Zahirul Islam has been posted as the new SP of Sherpur.
Natore SP Muhammad Abdul Wahab has been transferred to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) as SP, while Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) SP Mohammad Shariful Haque has been posted as SP of Natore.
Khulna SP Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman has been transferred to the PBI as SP, and Khulna Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Tajul Islam has been appointed as SP of Khulna.
The ministry said these orders are effective immediately.
