Meryl Streep’s memoir is not coming anytime soon, and The Devil Wears Prada star is articulating her thoughts on why she is not interested.
On Monday, April 21, the Oscar-winning star made an appearance on Front Row with SiriusXM‘s host Andy Cohen for the promotion of her upcoming sequel to the fashion film.
During the conversation, Andy asked Meryl if she had any plans of writing a memoir.
“Will we ever get a memoir from you?” Andy asked.
Meryl, who was also joined by The Devil Wears Prada 2 costars Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, was quick to respond and said, “Nope, nope.”
Andy quipped, “Okay, and you answer that very quickly.”
On why she is not looking forward to writing a book on her life experiences, she explained, “Too boring. Seriously.”
Stanley, who has published three cookbooks so far, chimed in after Meryl pointed towards her, saying, “Yeah, trust me.”
But Meryl do have enjoyed other celebrities’ memoirs including, Barbra Streisand’s “fantastic” 2023 memoir My Name Is Barbra, which she “of course” loved. Though she did not read , as she noted, “What am I, nuts? I listened to it, which was the only way.”
Meryl is reprising her role in the upcoming installment of The Devil Wears Prada, which is all set to hit theaters on May 2.
