Bangladesh has condemned recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon that resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, stating that such actions undermine ongoing efforts towards peace and stability in the region.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday (10 April), the government also condemned the killing of Dipali Khatun, 34, a Bangladeshi national, reportedly in an Israeli attack in Beirut.
The government conveyed its condolences to her bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them during this difficult time.
According to the press release, the Bangladesh embassy in Lebanon is in contact with Dipali’s family and will repatriate her mortal remains when the situation allows.
Dipali, from Char Shalepur village under Char Harirampur union, was killed on Wednesday (8 April) in Beirut’s Hamra area when a missile hit the residence where she was staying with her employer’s family.
Members of the employer’s family were also reported killed.
