PM to inaugurate ‘Farmer’s Card’ distribution on 14 April

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate the distribution of the Farmer’s Card from Tangail on 14 April.

The card distribution programme will be held at Shaheed Maruf Stadium on that day.

Fisheries and Livestock State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku has said the inauguration of the Farmer’s Card distribution programme from Tangail is a matter of pride and joy for the people of Tangail.

Talking with journalists after inspecting the venue this afternoon (3 April), Tuku said Farmer’s Card is a groundbreaking initiative for the development of farmers.

During the visit, Tuku reviewed the preparations and provided necessary instructions to the concerned officials to make the programme successful.

Agriculture Secretary Rafiqul E Mohammad and concerned officials were present. 

A preparatory meeting was also held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office with Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque in the chair.

At the meeting, state minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku instructed all concerned officials to perform their respective duties with utmost responsibility.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will personally hand over Farmer’s Cards to 15 farmers at the inauguration event.
