Khadija Yasmin, daughter of notorious militant Subrata Bain, has been shown arrested and produced before a court as a suspect in the attempted murder of Md Sajib Khan during the July uprising at Bhatara Police Station.

The case’s investigating officer, Sub-Inspector Hasanuzzaman of Bhatara Police Station, had earlier filed the request to produce the accused in court.
According to the police statement, on 19 July 2024, at a protest during the July Uprising at New Bazar in Bhatara, Md Sajib Khan joined the protest and was injured in an attack.
Khadija, along with other accused, allegedly took part in firing guns, throwing cocktails and deploying petrol bombs, resulting in several injuries, including to the complainant, the statement adds.
It also says preliminary evidence links her to the incident.
Police noted that if released on bail, the accused could abscond and hinder the investigation, making custody essential for ensuring proper inquiry and justice.
