Police have arrested 25 individuals in a day-long special drive conducted in the capital’s Hazaribagh area over various alleged criminal activities.
The drive was carried out today (28 March) across different areas of Hazaribagh by the local police station.
Confirming the matter, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Assistant Police Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Arifa Akhter Preeti said that the detainees have been sent to court.
She also noted that such drives will continue to maintain law and order in the capital.
The arrested individuals were identified as Sabuj Hossain, 29, Rahat Damaddar, 21, Azad Hossain, 35, Shohanur Rahman Sagar, 28, Jewel, 20, Ismail, 38, Sabuj Mia, 38, Mizan, 38, Abdus Salama, 22, Russell Mia, 30, Naim Hossain, 35, Wasel Ahmed, 22, Sirajul Islam, 38, Kawsar, 23, Faisal Mahmud, 25, Suman Ali, 38, Bibhash Mitra, 29, Zakir Hossain, 20, Kirtan Mondal, 33, Istiayat Shahriar, 25, Rezwan Islam Rony, 31, Ibrahim, 19, Abdul Quddus, 60, Rafik, 60, and Zubayer Alam, 25.
