Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has announced that closed-circuit cameras (CCTV) will be installed at all public examination centres to ensure transparency and that SSC and HSC examinations will be completed by 31 December each year.
The decision was announced today (25 March) at a view-exchange meeting held at the conference room of the Ministry of Education.
The minister said, “Similar question papers will be used across all education boards for the HSC examination starting in 2026. To prevent irregularities and enhance transparency, CCTV cameras will be installed in every exam centre.”
During the meeting, chairpersons of all education boards were instructed to assess the real conditions of upcoming SSC examination centres, identify potential challenges and submit detailed reports to the ministry.
Milon further said that a zero-tolerance policy will be enforced to eliminate cheating and malpractice in examinations. A high-level committee will also be formed to review the necessity of reducing the number of subjects in the future, he added.
“A cheating-free environment is essential for the development of students’ merit. In the past, active participation of teachers helped prevent malpractice; we will continue that approach in the future,” he said, adding that coordination with centre secretaries and local administration in divisional cities will be strengthened to ensure fair examinations.
The meeting was chaired by Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Abdul Khaleque. Technical and Madrasa Education Division Secretary Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, along with senior ministry officials and chairpersons of all education boards, were also present.
