The government has revised the experience requirements for several key positions in private technical education institutions.
According to a circular issued yesterday (16 March) by the Technical and Madrasah Education Division under the Ministry of Education, the updated criteria amend the experience conditions outlined in Appendix ‘D’ of the ‘Manpower Structure and MPO Policy 2026’ for private technical institutions.
The circular said the revised experience criteria will be effective immediately.
As per the new rules, candidates for the post of superintendent (vocational) must have a total of 18 years of experience as an MPO-listed or indexed instructor, senior trade instructor, or assistant superintendent in technical or vocational institutions.
Combined experience across these roles will also be considered.
For the post of assistant superintendent (vocational), applicants must have passed BNQF Level-4 from a recognised institution and possess 18 years of teaching experience as an MPO-listed assistant or senior teacher (science) in technical or vocational institutions.
The circular also states that candidates with 18 years of experience as MPO-listed teachers in positions such as trade instructor, senior trade instructor, or instructor will be eligible to apply for relevant posts.
Additionally, in technical institutions or HSC-level Business Management Technology (BMT) institutions, teachers with 18 years of MPO-listed experience as instructor, lecturer, senior instructor, senior lecturer, or assistant professor will be considered eligible for appointment to higher designations.
Similarly, 18 years of experience as an assistant superintendent or superintendent in vocational institutes will be taken into account for relevant appointments.
In the case of agriculture or fisheries diploma institutes, candidates with 18 years of experience as MPO-listed instructors, senior instructors, or chief instructors will be considered eligible for appointment as principal (BMT) or principal (agriculture).
