The outpatient department of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) will remain open on 19 March and 22 March to ensure healthcare services for patients during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
According to a notice signed by Registrar Dr Md Nazrul Islam, the outpatient department will provide consultation services from 10am to 1pm on Thursday (19 March) and Sunday (22 March).
The university administration has already instructed the hospital director to take the necessary steps to ensure the services are available on those two days.
Except for these dates, the outpatient department will remain closed from 17 March to 23 March due to the Eid holidays.
However, indoor services and the emergency department of the hospital will remain open as usual during this period.
Meanwhile, classes, administrative offices, afternoon specialised consultation services, super-specialised hospital consultation services and the PCR laboratory will remain closed during the holiday period.
Regular activities at the university will resume on Tuesday (24 March) after the Eid break. An Eid reunion programme for 2026 is also scheduled to take place on the same day from 8:30am to 10:30am.
