An air ambulance for Mirza Abbas, prime minister’s adviser and BNP Standing Committee member landed in Dhaka at 9:10am today (15 March).
He will be taken to Singapore on the same air ambulance for advanced medical treatment.
He will depart for Singapore at around 12pm in the same air ambulance, according to Abbas’s Personal Secretary Mizanur Rahman Sohel.
Abbas was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital’s Bashundhara area after he suddenly fell ill and lost consciousness during iftar on 11 March.
A medical board decided at a meeting yesterday (13 March) to carry out urgent brain surgery on Abbas.
After the surgery, he was shifted to the Neuro ICU.
