Three deputy press secretaries to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman have been appointed on a contractual basis under Grade IV of the government pay scale.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate gazette notifications today (2 March) confirming their contractual appointments.
According to the notifications, Mostafa Julfikar Hasan (popularly known as Hasan Shiplu), Md Sujauddoula (known as Suzon Mahmood) and Md Jahidul Islam (known as Rony) have been appointed as the prime minister’s deputy press secretaries, subject to relinquishing any employment or professional engagement in any other profession, business, or government, semi-government, or private institution or organisation.
The notifications further stated that the appointments will take effect from the date of their joining and will remain valid for the duration of the prime minister’s tenure or at his discretion.
