The BNP hopes to form government by Sunday (15 February), party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said, following its landslide victory in the 13th general election.
Fakhrul spoke to reporters today (13 February) in Thakurgaon-1, where he has been unofficially declared the winner.
In line with central party directives, the BNP has requested leaders and supporters to refrain from organising victory processions today (13 February). Instead, the party has called for prayer gatherings to be held in respective localities across the country after Jummah prayers.
