Ethan Hawke recently made a heart-touching confession, reminiscing about his daughter Maya Hawke’s big day.
During his appearance on the Thursday, November 5 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 56-year-old father opened up about his daughter Maya’s wedding, which occurred this year on Valentine’s Day.
Expressing his feelings to Fallon, Ethan stated that witnessing his eldest daughter getting married to Christian Lee Hutson was “the greatest day” of his life.
Repeating the host’s question, “How’s Maya’s wedding?,” he responded, It’s … It’s the greatest day of my life. How about that? Just go simple. You know what? It’s incredible.”
“Words fail. There’s certain things you go through as a person that you don’t expect, that just run you over,” the Dead Poets Society star added.
Fallon went on to ask him how emotional he was at the moment, to which Ethan replied, “I’m an actor! I tried to keep my cool.”
“I’m lucky because this guy is an amazing young man. I really wish … I mean it when I wish him a happy birthday,” he quipped, alluding to his his son-in-law, Hutson.
“Maya is really happy, and that’s all that matters,” the proud dad remarked.
It is pertinent to mention that Ethan Hawke, the father of four children, shares Maya Hawke with his ex-wife, Uma Thurman.
