According to unofficial results, Colonel Abdul Baten of Jamaat secured 26,342 votes, while BNP candidate Aminul Haque received 28,839 votes.

In the latest non-government results from 72 centres, Jamaat-backed candidate Colonel (retd) Abdul Baten is leading his closest rival, BNP’s Aminul Haque, by 1,969 votes.
According to the unofficial tally, Colonel Abdul Baten has secured 44,444 votes, while Aminul Haque has received 42,475 votes. A total of 90,138 votes have been counted so far from the 72 centres.
The constituency has a total of 400,499 registered voters. Results from the remaining centres are yet to be announced.
