Gas supply across Bangladesh will remain reduced for three days from Wednesday (4 November) due to emergency maintenance at Summit’s LNG terminal in Moheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar.
Daily supply to the national grid will drop from 920 million cubic feet (mmcf) to 600mmcf during the period, potentially causing low gas pressure in different parts of the country, Petrobangla announced in a press release today (1 November).
According to the release, regasification operations at the LNG terminal will remain suspended from 8am on 4 November until 4pm on 7 November.
As a result, daily gas supply to the national grid will decline by 320mmcf.
Petrobangla has warned consumers that gas pressure may remain low across the country during the period and apologised for the temporary inconvenience.
A similar maintenance operation disrupted gas supply temporarily last December.
