Queen Latifah has demanded a new ring from her team members on The Voice.
During the Monday, October 26 episode of the American singing reality competition television series, Sophia Liano and Mia Knight from her team sang Never Enough from The Greatest Showman. The performance was amazing, and coaches Adam Levine and Riley Green could not stop singing praises of them. Kelly Clarkson moved closer to watch them perform, and Latifah took no time to hit the console in front of her.
Raving about Liano and Knight’s performance, the 56-year-old American rapper and actress said, “What you just did out there, we are all better for it! Kelly got out of that chair. I literally had to take my ring off because I cracked the stone on here, on one of those notes. I was like, ‘What?!’ So, you owe me a ring, but I think you can run me that by winning this show.”
Green also admitted that their performance was “shocking” and she did not assume that “people could sing like that in real life.”
He added, “Y’all could’ve stopped halfway through and it would have been awesome. And then y’all did all that other stuff. That was crazy. I don’t know who y’all are or what y’all are doing, but y’all should sing. Both of you.”
Riley went on to confess that Lino has got an “awesome tone,” while Knight’s “range is insane.”
It is pertinent to mention that The Voice airs on NBC on Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT and streams the next day on Peacock.
