JMI Syringes and Medical Devices Limited incurred a net loss of Tk6.02 crore in FY26, reversing a profit a year earlier, but its board has recommended a 10% final cash dividend for shareholders.
According to the company’s price-sensitive information disclosed today (26 October), the board recommended the dividend for the financial year ended 30 June 2026. The company has scheduled its annual general meeting (AGM) for 23 December to seek shareholder approval, with the record date set for 23 November.
Audited financial statements show that the company’s net profit of Tk4.49 crore in FY25 turned into a loss of Tk6.02 crore in FY26. Earnings per share (EPS) also fell to a negative Tk2 from Tk1.49 a year earlier.
The company attributed the decline in earnings to lower sales and higher operating expenses. It also booked a Tk7.54 crore adjustment for inventory damaged in an earlier flood, further weighing on its financial performance.
Net asset value (NAV) per share fell to Tk84.23 in FY26, according to the company’s disclosure.
Despite the annual loss, JMI Syringes’ share price rose 6.56% to Tk123.50 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
