Kim Kardashian was reportedly “so mad” with Paris Hilton one time.
This was not too long ago as it was for an interview Hilton was asked to give for Kardashian’s upcoming authorised biography Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, now set for an October 27 release.
Though it took the author, Jonathan Van Meter, five years to finish, It was late in the process when he wanted to speak with Hilton, 45.
Kardashian checked and said Hilton agreed, but he had to go through her publicist. He called that unusual, since Kardashian usually just texted people. He said the interview was then canceled 17 times over about four months. He decided the cancellations were more interesting than anything Hilton might say.
When he told Kardashian, she was upset. “It seemed to stir up some ancient irritation between them,” he said. “The creation turning on the creator.”
The two do have a long history. Hilton has known Kardashian since childhood. Kardashian worked as her assistant and stylist in the early 2000s. Kardashian also appeared on Hilton’s reality show, The Simple Life. Her family later got its start on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which began airing in 2007.
Kardashian spoke about the feud in 2021, on the show’s reunion. She said the two stopped talking when her family’s fame took off. She said they are “super back cool.” She also credited Hilton as a big part of her career.
