State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit today (23 October) distributed medical materials worth Tk40 lakh for patients at Jashore 250-bed general hospital.
He handed over the materials in collaboration with the organisation ‘Human Appeal USA’ to the civil surgeon and the hospital superintendent at Jashore Circuit House this afternoon.
The medical supplies include pain-relief injections, adult diapers, gloves, cannulas, doctors’ uniforms and various items used in operation theatres (OTs).
The state minister instructed health officials to ensure that admitted patients receive the supplies properly free of charge.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashik Hasan, Superintendent of Police Syed Rafiqul Islam, District Council Administrator Delwar Hossain Khokon, General Hospital Superintendent Dr Hossain Shafayat and Civil Surgeon Masud Rana were present at the event.
The supplies would help address the hospital’s needs and improve healthcare services for its patients.
