Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Yusuf Ali has been stand-released and attached to the Public Administration Ministry following an alleged breach of protocol involving Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
He was transferred with immediate effect through an order signed by Deputy Secretary Jeti Pru yesterday (20 October) on behalf of the president.
The move came after the prime minister visited Rajshahi and arrived at Shah Makhdum Airport at around 6:30pm yesterday before departing for Chattogram.

The divisional commissioner was transferred shortly afterwards.
The prime minister was visiting puja mandaps outside Dhaka on the occasion of Maha Navami during the Durga Puja celebrations. As part of the tour, he departed Tejgaon Airport in Dhaka for Rangpur aboard a military aircraft at around 8:45am yesterday.
He later travelled to Rajshahi and departed for Chattogram from Shah Makhdum Airport the same day.
