Mikey Madison opened up about her “one biggest goal.”
Nearly two years after winning her first Oscar, the actress spoke with People Magazine about how her life has changed since winning, saying, “I feel like so much has changed.”
“But at the same time, I still feel exactly like I always have in a lot of ways,” she added.
For those unaware, Mikey won Oscar for portraying the leading role Ani in the movie Anora, beside Mikey the movie featured a star studded cast including, Mark Eydelshteyn, Yura Borisov, Karren Karagulian, Vache Tovmasyan, and Aleksey Serebryakov with many others.
“I’ve been really lucky that I’ve been able to, since Anora, be a part of exploring really interesting characters and working with filmmakers that I’ve dreamed of,” Mikey expressed her gratitude.
“I’m too much of an overthinker and too self-critical to ever get a big head,” she shared.
The Hollywood actress further mentioned Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep as the stars she dreams to work with someday.
However, she is “excited for the next few years,” which will feature an Edgar Allan Poe adaptation, and a mermaid thriller.
She also spoke about her acting approach, saying that she wants the audience to connect with her, “Telling stories authentically is my number one biggest goal as an actress. When I want people to watch the films that I’m a part of, I want them to be watching the characters that I’m playing, not someone who maybe they think I am.”
“I like being with my animals, I like cooking. People always ask what my hobbies are, and I’m like, ‘My hobbies are watching movies and hanging out with my pets and friends,’ ” the actress further shared.
