The government plans to establish a police academy modelled on the Sardah Police Academy and the Chattogram Central Jail at Jungle Salimpur in Chattogram, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said today (8 October).
He made the remarks after a meeting on infrastructure development in Salimpur at the meeting room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat today (8 October).
He also said two army camps would be set up near the Rohingya camps to help curb crime in the area.
“The police have earned the people’s trust. Our government’s main task now is to maintain that trust,” the home minister said.
