Two motorcycle riders, including a Sierra Leonean national, were killed after a covered van rear-ended their motorcycle in the Amtoli area under Dhaka’s Banani Police Station last night (25 September).
The accident occurred around 11:15pm on the west side of the Amtoli intersection at Mohakhali, police said today (26 September).
Police identified the deceased as Khaled Saifullah, 38, of Noakhali’s Sonaimuri, and Michael, a citizen of Sierra Leone, Banani Police Station Sub-Inspector Tarek told The Business Standard.
Michael, whose last name could not be known immediately, worked at Canadian Trillinium International School in Malibagh. His visa had expired, and he bid farewell to his school yesterday. He was scheduled to leave the country for home today, said Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Salahuddin.
