The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (18 September) forecast rain in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours, commencing at 9am.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country.
The highest temperature yesterday (17 September) was 36.5 degrees Celsius in Ramgati, while today’s minimum temperature was 21.5 degrees Celsius in Narayanganj.
In the last 24 hours, until 6am today, the highest rainfall of 118mm was recorded in Tetulia.
The sun sets at 5:59pm today and rises at 5:46am tomorrow in Dhaka.
