Two passengers got into a physical altercation mid-air aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Sylhet to London, with a video of the incident later going viral on social media.
The incident occurred today (17 September) while the flight was en route to London, according to Biman sources.
The two passengers reportedly got into a heated argument that escalated into a physical fight, causing panic among other passengers, including children and elderly travellers.
Mohiuddin Ahmed, general manager of Biman’s public relations department, confirmed the incident to The Business Standard.
“The flight departed Sylhet for London this morning. At some point during the flight, two passengers got into a physical altercation. The cabin crew later intervened and resolved the situation between them,” he said.
A video circulating on social media shows the two men arguing before the confrontation escalates into a fight. At one point, one passenger’s T-shirt appears to have been torn during the scuffle.
As the situation intensified, cabin crew members and fellow passengers intervened and separated the two men.
