Police are investigating a crude bomb blast outside the Supreme Court’s judges’ gate today (15 September). The explosion occurred shortly after the International Crimes Tribunal sentenced seven Awami League leaders to death.

A crude bomb exploded outside the Supreme Court shortly after the International Crimes Tribunal sentenced seven people, including banned Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, to death for crimes against humanity during the July Uprising.
The explosion occurred between 1:15pm and 1:20pm today (15 September) at an entrance used by the chief justice and other Supreme Court judges.

“A cocktail exploded between 1:15pm and 1:20pm. We are verifying who was responsible for the explosion,” Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Moniruzzaman told The Business Standard.
