The US Embassy in Dhaka has opened applications for the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Programme for the Spring 2027 semester, offering Bangladeshi secondary school students a fully funded opportunity to study in the United States.
According to a press release issued by the embassy today (10 September), the programme aims to build a network of young leaders who learn about US culture and values while sharing their own culture and experiences.
Selected students will live with a US host family, attend an American high school, develop leadership skills and participate in activities focused on governance, business and innovation.
Students will be selected through a rigorous, merit-based process. Since the programme was launched in 2004, 530 Bangladeshi students have participated in the YES Programme.
Interested students can apply through the International Education and Resource Network (iEARN) Bangladesh website. The application deadline is 4pm on 23 September 2026.
