The Hollywood Boulevard star of the iconic Dolly Parton gets a makeover
Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star was damaged and repaired later as the crew was seen replacing it with a new one on September 1, as per CBS Los Angeles and NBC Los Angeles.
It is worth noting here that Dolly Parton was honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 1984.
According to People Magazine, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s spokesperson, Ana Martinez, gave an explanation, saying, “A fan went to the star yesterday and reported on social that the star was vandalized with many scratches.”
“From the photo she posted, it does appear the star was vandalized with scratches.”
Noting, “This repair was set up late last week and the crew just completed the first part of making said repairs.”
“The star repairs are currently ongoing and are done by the Hollywood Historic Trust which maintains and repairs the Walk of Fame stars. The star will cure and will be polished on Friday for fans to enjoy,” she further added.
It is pertinent to mention that the legendary country star died on August 25, 2026 at nashvile, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 80, leaving behind an almost six-decade-old legacy.
For those unaware, Dolly Parton made her music debut at the age of 10, and later in 1980, she made her big screen debut with 9 to 5.
