A fire broke out at a Jhut cotton warehouse in Basabo, Khilgaon, this morning (30 August).
The Fire Service and Civil Defence received the report of the fire at around 11:58am at the tin-shed warehouse.
Md Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector at the Fire Service headquarters, confirmed the matter.
He said, “Two units from Khilgaon Fire Station reached the spot at around 12:04pm and brought the fire under control at 12:28pm after nearly half an hour of efforts.”
No casualties have been reported in the incident so far. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be immediately determined.
