The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts rain in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting at 9 am today (29 August).
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning (29 August).
Besides, it said, day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 36.2 degrees Celsius in Dimla, while today’s minimum temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
In the last 24 hours (till 6:00 am today), the highest rainfall of 57 millimeters occurred in Sreemangal in Sylhet district.
The sun sets at 6:20 pm today (29 August) and rises at 5:39 am tomorrow (30 August) in Dhaka.
