The three-day ‘Chattogram Build Expo 2026’, first such event held in the port city, concluded today (22 August) with a call for coordinated efforts to promote planned and sustainable urbanisation.
The event, which brought together stakeholders from the architecture, real estate and infrastructure sectors, concluded with a closing ceremony at the Radisson Blu in the city.
Organised by the Chattogram chapter of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), the expo featured 30 companies from Dhaka and Chattogram. Alongside exhibitions, the event included brand activations, business networking, seminars and discussions.

The state minister said the government is working to implement digital surveys in Dhaka, Chattogram and Rajshahi as part of its efforts to modernise land management.
“Once digital surveys are implemented, all forms of corruption in land management will be reduced,” he added.

Expo convener Md Mizanur Rahman expressed satisfaction with the successful completion of the event, crediting the enthusiastic participation of professionals, businesses and visitors.
He hoped future editions would be held on a larger scale, fostering greater collaboration among Chattogram’s architects, construction and infrastructure stakeholders.
