Nepal President Ramchandra Paudel has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election as the 23rd president of Bangladesh.
In a congratulatory message yesterday (21 August), Paudel wished the newly elected Bangladesh president success in carrying out his new responsibilities.
He also reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between the two countries.
Paudel stressed the importance of deepening the existing people-to-people ties and expanding mutual contacts between Nepal and Bangladesh.
“Nepal and Bangladesh, bound by historic and people-to-people ties, will continue close cooperation in the future,” he said in the message.
The Nepalese president expressed hope that under Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s leadership, friendly relations between Bangladesh and Nepal would become deeper and broader.
