The government has reshuffled the cabinet, with four new ministers and two new state ministers taking oath this evening (21 August).
President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, right after he was sworn-in as the head of the state, administered the oath and the oath of secrecy to all six at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban around 7:40pm.
The new ministers are BNP Standing Committee Member and Narsingdi-2 MP Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, BNP ally Bangladesh Jatiya Party’s Chairman Andaleeve Rahman Partho, BNP’s Bandarban MP Saching Prue, and the BNP’s Jamalpur-1 MP M Rashiduzzaman Millat.
The new state ministers are Humaiun Kobir, the foreign affairs adviser to the prime minister, and the BNP’s Gaibandha-4 MP Mohammad Shamim Kaiser.
