Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Hossain Mohammad Kabir Bheuiyan handed over the award on behalf of the CMP yesterday (19 August).
Labib serves as the Initiative Coordinator for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) in Chattogram, where he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in collaboration with the Chattogram City Corporation and law enforcement agencies.
Helal, a retired additional superintendent of police, works as the Enforcement Coordinator for BIGRS in Chattogram. In his role, he coordinates enforcement activities and liaises between police units and other road safety stakeholders.
Over the past several years, BIGRS has worked alongside the Chattogram City Corporation and the Traffic Division of CMP to implement comprehensive road safety improvements. These efforts include infrastructure enhancements, enforcement initiatives, and evidence-based policy advocacy designed to create a safer environment for pedestrians and all road users.
