The health directorate has recorded two more dengue-related deaths across the country in the last 24 hours.
A total of 76 people have died so far this year of the mosquito-borne disease in the country, according to a press release issued today (19 August) by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
One of the deceased was from Dhaka North City Corporation and the other from Khulna division, it added.
During the same 24-hour period, 671 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.
Meanwhile, 627 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals during the 24-hour period, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 24,374.
The total number of dengue cases reported in the country this year now stands at 26,272.
