Security forces are maintaining a heightened presence at and around the demolished residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhaka’s Dhanmondi 32 today (15 August) on his death anniversary, detaining one person who had gone there to pay his tributes in the morning.
The man, identified as Arnab Das, was detained around 10am and later taken to Dhanmondi Police Station, confirmed Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Imdadul Islam.

He said, “We have initially learned that the detained man is an active member of the banned organisation Jubo League. He is being questioned.”
According to police, the detainee is from Tangail.
