FM Khalilur mourns deaths in Colombia earthquake

Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extensive damage caused by a powerful earthquake in Colombia’s San José del Palmar.

In a condolence message sent to his Colombian counterpart, the foreign minister conveyed his deepest sympathies to the families of those killed on behalf of the Bangladesh government and people, as well as in his personal capacity, according to a foreign ministry press release.

Khalilur Rahman also wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the earthquake and expressed Bangladesh’s solidarity with the people of Colombia during the difficult period.

He expressed hope that the Colombian people would overcome the devastation caused by the disaster with courage and resilience.
