The latest reshuffle affects officers serving in the Chattogram Metropolitan Police, RAB, Industrial Police and several district police units.

The government has transferred eight senior police officers in the latest reshuffle of field-level and metropolitan positions.
The transfers were made through a notification issued today (3 August) and signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir.
According to the notification, Sheikh Md Selim, an additional superintendent of police in Chattogram who had earlier been transferred to the Naval Police, has now been posted to the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP). Mohammad Robiul Islam, an additional superintendent of police in CMP, has been transferred to the Chattogram district police, while Mahbubur Rahman, additional superintendent of police in Gazipur, has been posted to Narsingdi.
Among assistant superintendents of police (ASPs), Swapna Begum has been transferred from RAB to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Bil Chandra Barman, who was serving in Madaripur, has been posted to the Debiganj Circle in Panchagarh, while Md Azam Khan has been moved from the Madhukhali Circle in Faridpur to the Khulna Range DIG’s Office.
The notification also transferred Md Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, an assistant police commissioner of CMP, to the Maheshkhali Circle in Cox’s Bazar, and SM Masuduzzaman, an assistant superintendent of the Industrial Police, to the Madhukhali Circle in Faridpur.
