Outspoken journalist and TV presenter Piers Morgan has expressed his grief and sadness over the death of actor Vincent Pastore.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter handle, Morgan shared a throwback photo with The Sopranos actor with heartbreaking note.
He says, “RIP Vinny Pastore, 80.
“The world knew him as a brilliant actor, especially in the role of ‘Big Pussy’ in The Sopranos. I knew him as the guy who kept shouting at me on Celebrity Apprentice USA. “
Piers Morgan continues, “But off camera, he was a lovely guy. Warm, funny and incredibly entertaining.”
Vincent Pastore, the actor best known for mob enforcer-turned-informant Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s hit series “The Sopranos,” has died at the age of 80, his manager confirmed on Saturday.
Hollywood news outlet Deadline reported that the veteran actor, a native New Yorker, was found dead Saturday in his home in The Bronx.
The manager, Robert Attermann, confirmed his death to AFP, but did not offer details about the circumstances.
Born on July 14, 1946, Pastore served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War before earning a university degree in drama.
