Former president Mohammed Shahabuddin left Bangabhaban this afternoon (26 July).
He will now move to his private residence in Gulshan.
Shahabuddin resigned from office on 24 July, citing serious health complications that had left him physically and mentally unable to discharge the responsibilities of the country’s highest constitutional post.
He submitted his resignation letter to Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, bringing an early end to his five-year term, which was due to expire in April 2028.
