Rain or thundershowers are likely across the country in the next 24 hours, commencing from 9am, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions and at many places over the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions,” said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning.
The bulletin also said moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places across the country.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.
The highest temperature yesterday (16 July) was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi under the Rajshahi division and Sayedpur under the Rangpur division, while today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius in Sylhet under the Sylhet division.
In the last 24 hours, till 6am today, Bandarban recorded the highest rainfall of 28 millimeters.
