Two journalists were killed after being struck by a bus during early hours today (16 July) while they were returning home after watching the world cup semi-final match.
The accident took place near the Jasim Uddin bus stop in Sector 3 of Uttara, confirmed Mohammad Khalid Monsur, officer-in-charge of Uttara West Police Station.
The deceased have been identified as Robiul Alam Raju, a journalist of Praner Bangladesh, and Sakibul Hasan, a journalist of Sangbad Diganta. Sakibul served as the finance secretary of the Uttara Press Club, while Robiul was its hospitality secretary.

They were rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital with critical injuries, where doctors on duty declared them dead.
