The government has made dengue NS1 tests free at all public hospitals across the country until 31 December 2026, to ensure easier access to diagnosis during the ongoing dengue season.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced the decision in a notification issued today (7 July).
The notification directed all government hospitals to provide the NS1 diagnostic test free of charge until the end of the year and asked the authorities concerned to take the necessary steps to implement the decision.
Directors of medical college hospitals, civil surgeons, upazila health and family planning officers, and other relevant officials across the country have been instructed to implement the directive immediately.
